jordy: biography
My name is Jordy Vandeput. I was born on the 21th of November 1989 in Hasselts, where I still live.
On the age of twelve I bought my self a videocamera to shoot my skateboard tricks.
When I was 14 years old, I decided to start a project about making videos of computer games. But due to inactivity, this project had to stop after 2 years. But I would never give up and wanted to start again with a big project.
Because I was starting to get the taste of professional vide editing, I decided to take this to a next level and started with hosting online video tutorials on the internet. This was a big success since I was with the pioneers.
In the meanwhile, this project evolved to Yapper Design. The goal of the project has been changed during time and it's currently about video productions such as videoclips, promotion films, etcetera.
Each project needs a dignified website, which I always care for. I have learned myself a variety of programming languages, and starting from my 15 I'm able to write my own blog and CMS now. Those first tensions to go deeper into the advanced and dynamic environment came from my high school. In Donbosco T.I. Houthalen-Helchteren, where I studied ICT, I managed to get high results on my dynamic website as thesis.
My interests for technology and technique can also be found in my own digital film camera. From mechanics to electronics, I keep building pieces for my camera to give it more functionality. Such things I learn myself from the internet, but the rules of film making it self I got from my current education at Narafi, Brussels. At the moment I'm doing my last year.
Besides the feeling I have behind the camera, I also like to play in the theatre. From my 13th I'm a member of the youth theatre group Kaboekie, Zonhoven. Where I'm also a member of the board since My 19th
